Avis Car Sales and Young Subaru in Ogden, Utah join forces to raise money for United Way

Avis Car Sales and Young Subaru in Ogden, Utah are joining forces to raise money for United Way of Northern Utah.  The event is called ‘Racing United’ and will be held at Avis Car Sales on Wall Street in Ogden, Utah.

Avis Car Sales and Young Subaru will set up a family friendly go-cart track July 29^th – 30^th in the parking lot of Avis Car Sales in Ogden.  Children, Families, and anyone who wants to help United Way is welcome to come and pay $5 to race on the go-cart track.  All monies raised will go directly to United Way of Northern Utah.

Young Automotive Group Has Purchased a New Location in Ogden

The Young Automotive Group is excited to announce Young Subaru as the newest member of the company. Ogden Subaru was purchased by the Young Automotive Group at the beginning of this month, and Young Subaru can now be found at that location.

Young Subaru is located at 3377 Wall Avenue in Ogden. The general manager of Young Automotive’s newest dealership is Mike Capron, former GM of Avis Car Sales. Capron and the rest of Young Subaru are currently in the process of hiring employees, specifically sales and service employees, to ensure the new dealership is fully staffed with knowledgeable personnel.

The Young Automotive Group now consists of 5 dealerships from Kaysville to Ogden. The company includes Young Kia in Kaysville, Young Chevrolet in Layton, Young Buick in Layton, Avis Car Sales in Ogden and now Young Subaru in Ogden.

Young Kia for Kids

For the Month of March Young Kia helped raise money for Davis School District.  Young Kia handed out flyer's to Davis School District children.  The "Kia for Kids" campaign donated $5 to a child's school if the flyer was brought in.  A person could also donate more money to schools by purchasing a new or used vehicle from Young Kia.  With every purchase Young Kia donated $300 to the school.  Overall, Kia for Kids was a success. 

118 cards were brought in! and 35 different schools will be getting money from Young Kia! Congratulations to Creekside Elementary for bringing in the most cards!

Meet Curtis Groft from Avis Car Sales

Curtis was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.  After serving an LDS mission in Chile, Curtis met his beautiful wife Morgan, and moved to North Ogden to marry her. They have been married for almost 5years, and have a 1 year old little girl named Maya. I took the truck back to the shop on the 14th of February and talked to Chris and he assured me they were going to fix everything. They had a difficult time setting the TPS and even had to replace one with a used one. They reprogrammed the computer module which fixed the 4X4 issue and eventually they got all the TPS to work.

Meet Justin Messick from FIRST CHOICE CARS

Justin Messick graduated from Roy High School in 1986. He enjoys football,wrestling and everything that has to do with cars. After High School, Justin joined the Air Force Reserves and served for 8 years with the 405th class ay Hill Air Force in Layton, Utah.  In 1988, Justin Joined the Young Automotive Group .  He has enjoyed 22 years with Young Chevrolet and First Choice Cars, where he is currently the Sales Manager.

Meet Andrew Jackson

ANDREW JACKSON

Andrew Jackson graduated from Weber State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Mass Communications with an emphasis Broadcast Journalism. After college, he moved to Bismarck, North Dakota to begin a career as a Sports Anchor. After two years in the business, he and his family decided to take a leap of faith and return back to Davis County.

With no real experience in Public Relations, Jackson applied for the P.R. job at Rocky Mountain Raceways during the Summer of 2003. Upon accepting the position, Jackson went to work immediately for the Young Automotive Group (YAG). In 2006, Jackson moved into the Sales department at Young Chevrolet and was later promoted to Sales Manager, a position he maintains today.

Jackson says he stays with the Young Automotive Group because it’s a family run business who treat their employees like gold, “The Young family has always been good to me and I am thankful for the past seven years and look forward to many more,” he explains.

Away from the office, Jackson enjoys being with his wife and 5 children. His favorite activities include working out, playing basketball and attending church meetings. Jackson says he’s not a big fan of cold weather, but loves being around the mountains and enjoying the sunsets from his home in North Salt Lake.

Chevrolet CRUZE

THE CHEVROLET CRUZE



The Cruze is the new front-drive compact sedan that will be positioned below the Chevy Malibu and above the Aveo. I am not talking expensive territory here. It's a five-passenger family sedan.

 

The Cruze carries a higher sticker price, the result of GM's effort to develop what it says is a best-in-class compact car.

David Cole, who heads the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, Mich., was one of the participants. Cole said his awd Cadillac CTS and the Cruze “are surprisingly similar, and I am very pleased with the CTS.”
